I know its nearly 2 months since i blogged and will catch up at a later date but i just have to tell you all how amazing Gods timing and sovereignty is.
I was made redundant on 31st march and my last day was 29th - this was not the biggest shock but the time running up to then was really stressful, with lots of decisions about what to do next and not really getting anywhere with looking for work. my plan was to sign on to JSA on the 1st April and see what happened - trying to trust God that he really knew best.
On the 28th march mum phoned to say the Dr thought she had had a stroke. she was still at home but that she wasn't really coping, she told us that she hadn't eaten more than egg on toast in the last 3 weeks and was struggling to manage basic tasks. With a mad panic i phoned my brother and hatched a plan. I would go to bath and see what i found after work on Tuesday.
I worked some of my last day in a bit of a blur and went to bath.
Mum really wasn't welll and after a sleepless night with her in lots of pain and her not knowing what was going on , i phoned an ambulance and mum was admitted to hospital. BIG Stress.
Geraint came to Bath as he had a day off and everyone at church helped with the dogs., Andrew (my brother) also had a couple of days off and also came to bath.
Mum spent 2 weeks in hospital and they have done alsort of test with lots of different doctors and found that she didn't have a stroke. but that she is very complicated!!
she has osteo arthritis and her pain was so bad that this was making her confused and she had an allergic reaction to all her drugs adding to the confusion and making her sick. then some of her other drugs were giving her all the symptoms of Parkinson's disease, and making her shake.
they have swapped some drugs around and the new ones first effected her sight but this has improved enough so she can read ( her only activity)
Mum was discharged from hospital on Wednesday, and has some care going in for 6 weeks to see how she copes.
On Wednesday i got a phone call asking me if i want my old job back - i start on Monday. - timing or what!
We came home yesterday after a couple of days helping mum settle back home and life now goes back to normal.
