We spent Thursday with mum and went to Clarke's shopping village. - i started my Christmas shopping!! and geraint brought some clothes - this was great as i usually have to nag him to go clothes shopping but he found stuff he liked and brought it without me having to say anything.
Thursday night we went to see Marie and Martyn, Maire is one of my longest friends and was one of my bridesmaids. we had a great time catching up as we haven't seen each other in over 18 months, i don't think Martyn or geraint got many words in cos Marie and i were so busy trying to catch up. We went to a lovely pub - the bridge in shawford, which is just outside Winchester and ate far too much.
Friday we went to Ione's heaven!! - The Bookbarn - It is a big warehouse or converted barn and it has 2 floors of books. the books were on floor to ceiling bookshelves and there was books every where. The ground floor is reference books on any subject in the world - but they still didn't have the sugarcraft book i wanted. the upstairs was all fiction and also geraint heaven. the only problem was he can never remember whether he has read a book by the name so had to spend some time reading a bit of each book to read see. i got some books too!! - wow - but nothing interesting - just some holiday reads for the next few holidays.
Friday night we had tea with Helen. Helen is my looonnnggggest friend and we have been friends since high school. Its always great to catch up with Helen and spend time with her.
