time just seems to fly now i am back at work and blogging seems to get pushed out and as time has gone on i have missed reading everyones blog - so with no toddlers today due to remembrance day service i have a free 5 minutes to blog.
where to start.
Work - is going great, i seem to be enjoying the stress free days, i keep sitting there and thinking that i am missing something. but i think i have just excepted that without the stress of doing supervision and only having casework to do that the job is actually much easier - i am getting busier and have more to do and defiantly can't finish everything in a day but at least i am on top of things even after 2 days off. 3 days is great and the working week is over before i know i it! I'm enjoying watching the supervisors get stressed (I'm sure that's mean!!) as they run around and do everything and that actually its not my responsibility any more!
Church is great - we have started house groups twice a month and there are 10 of us + kids and its great to be more intimate and get to know people better. We have a 24 hours prayer night organised by Cell-out which was amazing. i can't believe that 16 - 25's are so up for spending so much time in prayer. they organised about 20 different things to prompt peoples praying - a praise wall, a globe a map of the area, a dinner table with spare spaces were we could pray for friends who aren't Christian, painting to paint the glory of god, quiet space, space to pray with others, toddlers is going great and i love my weekly dose of kids. cell-out is great fun every other week and we are enjoying getting to know the young people and being more involved, tonight they come to ours for a bible study on sex and relationships.. We have been looking at issues they have wanted to talk about - women, prayer, homosexuality. i know we are settled at church cos on the weekends we are away i miss church and everyone.
house - we have had a few weeks break from the house. the garden is clear and chopped and waiting for some manure for the veg patch and them some plants. we are now thinking of turning our attention to the house over the winter - but we are still not sure what we want to do and i am enjoying the blank canvas of cream walls so they may stay a little longer.
Holiday - we didn't have a full weeks holiday this year as geraint didn't have enough time left 6to take a whole week and i only had 2 days leave. so... we went to wales for 4 nights. we hired a little cottage with fire and we explored familiar beeches with the dogs and made sandcastles in the cold and played in the sea and i got wet socks and jeans and the warmed up by the fire in the evening - happy days!!
I had a mini- holiday to crewe to catch up with Becky and make wedding cake plans, and catch up with it her friends - it was great to see ione and Sam, Fiona and Helen brumby coping marvousley with baby brumbies and i am looking forward to my next trip back - hopefully a bit longer to see more people. I stayed with Phil and Esther and it was great to see them settled back in Mac and they put up with me and the dogs and especially for Phil who walked the dogs and gave them attention so i didn't have to.
Visitors - we had Debbie, huw, ioan and carys come to visit for the weekend and it was great for them to see the House and for us to spend a day at the black country museum.
well i had better get on with jobs. - i have a new anniversary resolution - i asked geraint what most annoyed him about me - and his answer was my untidiness, so i am on a tidying spree and trying to not make a mess as i go! - i hope it will last longer than a few weeks! i also have Christmas cakes and cakes for tonight to make so i must get on.
happy blogging!
