recent lessons

It never ceases to amaze me that how often God reminds me of his wonder and glory and promises and how much patience he has with me.


so here are a few highlights of Gods what God has been reminding me recently.

He is creator and God.
Cutting down some trees and plants, and seeing their intricate detail, looking at the stars in the sky, the beauty of autumn, the amazing world around us - it  amazes me that God said bring forth light and their was light. How can anyone doubt his power and that he exists.

The heavens declare the glory of God;

the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they display knowledge.
There is no speech or language
where their voice is not heard.
Their voice goes out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world.
In the heavens he has pitched a tent for the sun,
which is like a bridegroom coming forth from his pavilion,
like a champion rejoicing to run his course.
It rises at one end of the heavens
and makes its circuit to the other;
nothing is hidden from its heat
                                     Psalm 19

We shouldn't worry about anything

Jeremiah 29:11-14

"...For i know the plans i have for you," declares the lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and future."

and we have hope in the future which is amazing.

We have a role to share his word with people and its OUR responsibility.

Today it was great to be with some non-Christians on a course and talk about dinosaurs and creation and God and that he cares.

Reading and Praying

I've really been enjoying not working and having more time to read the bible and pray.  I don't have the excuse anymore that I'm too busy.  God is our best friend and we should want to spend time with him yet life often gets in the way and we don't but it really does work, it really makes sense - how can we know god if we don't spend any time with him.
