we have had the worst week at work this week because of the computers - the computers have been down across all CAB's across the county - it basically means that i can't tell what i have advised people in the past or anything about these people and then i can't write up what i've done now.
Citizens Advice has apologised lots but they should have just got on with fixing it!
hence it is now Saturday morning and i am faced with a huge pile of work on Monday that I hhaven't been able to do. - OH well that is Mondays problem
Otherwise work has been great this week - I have actually loved my Job - i think the week off has done me good - but i enjoyed seeing all my appointments even if they did take longer than planned but it was great to be able to give people information and see the worry come off their face and them come in crying and be at the end of their world and go away knowing that there is light at the end of the tunnel even if it is a very long one.
Debt is horrible and people always say to me that it is their own fault - but who plans to borrow knowing they can't pay it back - no one. and who wants to be hounded and so stressed by the worry of not being able to pay it back - that would be enough to finish me off. its usually people who have had huge personal problems either deaths or divorce or illness or unemployment and they can't help that. Be thankful its not you.
Yes people borrow but if it wasn't for society saying you must have that big house and big car and every expensive holiday and kids toys and latest fashion - we would be a whole lot better and if creditors would actually help people work out whether they can afford to pay it back Rather than getting them to take out another loan we would be in a lot better position.
Sorry i don't get on my work hobby horse very often but its good to occasionally. so here's some advice
Don't listen to everyone else about what thy have and think you must have it too - and don't be pressurised to borrow - God is enough and will provide for what you need
Be grateful and thank god that you have lots and remember some people (even in this country) are forced to scrounge for food and go to the asda bins after it has shut. (and if that's you go get some help)
work out a budget of what you have and can afford to spend on nice things. - If you don't understand money and can't work out what you can afford and are able to manage - go learn about it.
try saving - even £2 a week - that will be £104 a year for Christmas or a holiday or the kids birthdays.
and if you are struggling and have had to borrow and can't pay it - go get some help - there are ways out and there is light at the end of the tunnel.
