this week i have really struggled to motivate myself to do very much, nothing has filled me with enthusiasm and i have struggled through jobs and got frustrated at many jobs started but not finished. So today when i woke with a cleaning bug - i was quite surprised to actually achieve some cleaning and am now pleased with my efforts as the house looks less like a hurricane. but i am also amused by a friends story:
'A' made a new term resolution to hoover at least once a week and when she hadn't hoovered on the planned day she said to her husband that she hadn't managed to hoover to which her son said 'why who is coming tomorrow?'
I also had another conversation with a Friend who was having guests for the evening and was going home to clean, tidy and cook.
this is my type of cleaning - visitors = better clean! .... is it any surprise that i am excited at the planned visit of 2 friends from College days tomorrow!

The only reason I cleaned my kitchen this morning was becasue the tumble dryer man was coming to do a repair. Shaming myself into doing things IS the only motivation for housework :)
