roots

On Monday and Tuesday this week we have been digging up roots out of a flower bed that i chopped down.  We dug up 3 amazing root balls and had to saw and cut and dig lots to get them out,  about half way through trying desperately to move a really stubborn root i said 'this gives a whole new meaning to being rooted in Christ' and have thought about it every time i look out the window at the roots we have dug.

the roots we dug this week - were strong and solid, unmovable and woven deep into the ground. - this is my prayer this week....

" And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen."

Being rooted in Christ has been the only thing that has kept me going over the last few months, during times of great trial and sadness he has remained faithful and will do for all eternity.
