The rest of my week, when not at work, has been filled with lots of social activities and is really the reason i am shattered cos i have had lots of late nights.
On Wednesday and Saturday we went to see Stokes Top talent - cheesy fun. The regent theatre were trying to find the best talent to go into the pantomime at Christmas. They has had over 200 applicants and had narrowed it down to 40 - these performed over 4 nights (we went on Wednesday) and that narrowed it down to 10, thy then had 10 finalists who all performed on Saturday night. (we went then too). They were all very good and very different, opera singers and dancers and pop singer and break dancers and all sorts. it was a good laugh and defiantly a silly night out.
Yesterday was also a busy day in the day - Geraint has been organising a garden party at work for months and we had a fab afternoon and all his hard work paid off. the weather stayed dry for the afternoon which was a real answer to prayer and everyone had a great afternoon. I spent my afternoon face painting children and it defiantly took me back to my time when i worked with kids, their was willow weaving and pottery painting and lots of stalls to wander round - a bouncy castle which i couldn't resist, and made Barbara feel very sick, Geraint was also very handy and made some stocks and we all had great fun making people wet by throwing sponges. It was a good afternoon - well done Geraint.
